Recent work: the City of Boulder, Colorado
The Challenge: improve Boulder's municipal services through human-centered innovation.
The City of Boulder is known for many wonderful things, but wanted to improve the experience around three areas: parking enforcement, energy management and reporting, and water backflow prevention. Over 6 weeks, Megafauna collaborated with city leaders to unearth opportunities.
We then led a 5-day intense workshop, teaching the principles and methods of design thinking, testing that learning through practice scenarios, and then applying them to the real-world areas Boulder was looking to fix. The result was a highly engaged crew from all over the City that dove in and created pragmatic but inspiring solutions.
The Result: expanded perspectives and innovative solutions headed for implementation.
